Mission

Virginia Ballet Company is a non-profit organization established to enhance the cultural interests of Northern Virginia and the Metropolitan area through the institution of a ballet school that performs and brings an artistic force to the community, adding a dimension to the education of the community’s youth.

Virginia Ballet Company and School is proud of its classical ballet-training program and the performance opportunities it provides to our students. Through our curriculum we instill self-discipline, self-confidence and a sense of pride and dedication in our students, encouraging them to set goals for themselves. Through our performance opportunities our students learn the responsibility and commitment inherent in theatrical discipline. Performances also give students the opportunity to show and apply the technique learned in class and take pride in what they have accomplished. Through their involvement with music and dance students learn that dance is a universal art form and language that bridges international cultures. All these are vital skills our students will take with them to succeed in life.
